"Fireflies" is the debut single of American electronica project Owl City, released on July 14, 2009. It is the ninth track in the album Ocean Eyes. It reached No. 1 in 22 countries, such as Australia, Croatia, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States, and was Owl City's first song to go mainstream. Co-producer Matthew Thiessen's vocals were featured in the song.

The music video for "Fireflies", directed by Steve Hoover, was released on July 21, 2009. It features Adam Young playing the song on an organ in a toy-filled room where most of the toys come to life. It reached 500 million views on July 26, 2023.

- Theres a hidden laugh in the song. After "When I'm too tired to fall asleep" in the bridge, theres a chuckle, its more clearer in the acapella version[2]
